Okay, I'm hard at work coming up with some good stuff for next week. Until then, I thought I'd direct your attention to some of my favorite posts, some of which occurred very early in this blog's existence. This list will consist only of the touching, sweet and/or amusing stuff; I'll make a separate list of the "top" more serious discussion posts.
The "popular posts" column on the right of the home page lists the most read posts, and they are certainly among my favorites. But there are others that are very near to my heart, yet haven't gotten as much attention. So, here they are.
Please take a moment to check them out and share your thoughts!
The Moon Loves Me - reminds us to notice and take joy in the little
things the way our kids do. It just might make us happier people.
Where Does This Stuff Come From?! - explores the fascinating place that
is the toddler imagination. Whether it's something scary (like the praying mantis) at bedtime or
not, you never know what your kids will come up with!
Attack of the Post-It Notes - pokes fun at the mental and physical effects that parenting has on some of us (me, cough cough), especially as we age, and proves that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
One Eyed Monsters & Such - discusses the importance of having fun with our kids and also rediscovering our own creative spirits.
From Hair to Everywhere
- recounts my crazy hair struggles through the years, having endured
ill-fitting haircuts until the bravery of my twenties set in, and looks, via Lady Gaga's
lyrics, at how our hair can be a significant part of our self-expression.
The Process of Becoming
- describes how our children's growth and development mirrors the
evolution of our own lives, goals, and our very personalities after we
become parents. This is one of my very favorite posts on MLWP so far, mostly because I am so grateful for the person that Anna is helping me to become.
