Snapshots: Catching Up!

Now that I'm getting back into this, I thought that before tackling some of the topics I want to discuss - fun stuff like ADHD, crazy sports parents, and gun control - I'd at least fill you in on what we've been up to these last few months while I've been out of commission in the blogging world.

Earlier last year, I already wrote about some of the great things that happened to us in 2012:  Anna's adoption being finalized, her first braids, my job change, etc. But we've had a lot of fun since then too!

And because it's more fun this way, I thought we'd catch up in snapshots, so here goes.

Exciting Events of Fall 2012:

Anna turned 4 and celebrated in true princess fashion!

Opening presents with Ellie and Jacob

Aunt Mary made a new friend at the party.

And I got to hang out with my awesome nephew (and Anna's big brother), Jacob!

Anna met her new friend Firefighter Steve and enjoyed learning about the fire station at its annual open house.

Someday I might wanna drive one of these....

We added a new member of the family - Tito!

a/k/a Tito Burrito!

Anna was Rapunzel for Halloween.

Gorgeous!

Anna and her friend Ellie attended a "Yes on 1" Rally in support of our state's marriage equality vote.

Marriage really does matter to ALL families.

Kelsey voted for the first time and picked a winner!

Voting is a family affair!

And we won the right to marry!

The first of many "wedding cakes" this state will see!

Anna made it all the way across the monkey bars by herself for the first time!

YAY!!

I hurt my finger - really badly. Remind me to stay away from bread knives in the future.

I cut the same finger twice, 2 days in a row, same dull bread knife, same crusty loaf of bread.

But at least I've gotten quite the tour of small town courthouses!

Anna had a close encounter with a female turtle named Rufus...

Speaking of Christmas, Anna had a fabulous one!

We started 2013 with a new sled, courtesy of our fantastic neighbors, Marlene and Karen

Yes, that hill is in our driveway!

...and we're also enjoying a new adventure in gymnastics!

Future superstar??

It was a great year and I can't wait to see what the future holds. :)
