Photos of the Week: T Rex!!!

Happy Monday, everyone!

As has become my habit, I ease into a new work week by posting the Photo of the Week.  So my affinity for Play-Doh creations is no surprise to anyone. However, I sort of developed a specialty in the area of one-eyed monsters. I haven't really been challenged beyond that.

Until recently, that is, when I was asked to attempt a dinosaur. Specifically, a T Rex.

Okay, I'm hard at work coming up with some good stuff for next week. Until then, I thought I'd direct your attention to some of my favorite posts, some of which occurred very early in this blog's existence. This list will consist only of the touching, sweet and/or amusing stuff; I'll make a separate list of the "top" more serious discussion posts.

Fall Carnival Fun Anytime!

Last weekend, Anna’s day care held a Fall Carnival. It was our first such undertaking, and I enjoyed being a part of the planning. 

We decided to have about 10 kids’ games, art stations like mask making and decorating paper pumpkins, a photo booth, a yard sale table, and a bouncy house.  Of course, we also needed food, so we decided to serve hot dogs, apple cider, cotton candy and other light refreshments.

As the event drew closer, I wondered how we were going to get everything accomplished with just the small number of parent volunteers we had. But we did it! I was very proud of the way it turned out, and all the kids had a great time.
