Happy Friday! We've (okay, I've) been slacking on our Friday Fun these past few weeks, but I've been saving this one because I love cat antics.
The back story: in order to install a dishwasher in our kitchen, we had to have some of the cabinets beneath our counter gutted. Because the cabinets were not intended for this, there remains a slight gap between the bottom of the dishwasher and the floor.
Personally, I could care less about this from an aesthetic perspective. I'm just glad we have replaced our old "dish washer" (me) with this machine that saves me lots of time and energy.
Our cat, however, finds this to be a source of continual frustration.
She always looks underneath it as if something will jump out at her. More than once, she has wanted something under there that she just can't reach.
On the occasion photographed above, she stalked whatever it was for a good several minutes, ready to pounce. I just watched, thoroughly entertained, as she wiggled her tail and rear end, only to stop, probably realizing there was no hope of reaching it.
The hidden treasure?
A piece of popcorn.
I had just poured some into a bowl and apparently I lost a piece. Tika is looking at me here, no doubt sensing my amusement, as if to say, "Are you just gonna stand there and make fun of me, or are you gonna get it out already?!"
I waited another minute or so and then I helped her out. :) This is why I'm a cat person.
Have a fabulous weekend!
