Photo of the Week: That's Amore

Greetings! I hope all of you who were off work yesterday for Patriot's Day, our regional holiday, enjoyed it! Anna and I sure did. We got to hang out with friends and play and stay in the sun just about all day. My arms are a bit lobsterish now but it was totally worth it.

Here's this week's photo of the week. It's a photo of Mama Heidi and me taken by our wonderful friend Patty. I decided to make it the photo of the week for two reasons. First, it's rare that we both look this good at the same time in the same picture and are smiling without weird expressions (usually mine), and my left eye's not drooping, as it almost always does. Miraculous.

Second, spring is a time of rebirth and I certainly feel that happening in our family. We've been through a lot these past few years and are now coming out of a period of struggle into what I know will be a period of happiness and positive change. We are about to realize a dream we've had for a long time - more soon! - and couldn't be happier about it!  Here's to perseverance. It's worth it.
