I am choosing to look at this questionable milestone with a glass-half-full perspective. Just for today, I will try to look at myself through Anna's eyes. So, I have but one birthday wish for myself:
May I always be as intelligent, invincible, wealthy, energetic and impervious to injury as my daughter thinks I am.
Welcome to 35..... |
It's funny because I thought the same thing when I turned 35, "I have to pick a new category for age on those silly questionnaires!" We are no longer lumped with teenagers. That is not a bad thing, RIGHT?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteRight!!! I have to say, as much as I sometimes lament aging, I would not go back to my teenage years for anything!! I remind myself I am blessed with an amazing daughter and wonderful partner, family and friends. I know myself so much better than I did then, I have a career, I am settled.....no way would I want to be 19 again. :) Although I wouldn't mind 27. LOL.
