As anyone with a young child knows, picture time is often difficult for little ones. Anna typically is a ham - she loves to pose and say "cheeeeeeese!" with a giant, toothy grin. But we had never had real family photos done until we had a photo shoot with a pro before the adoption. And boy was it.....fun.

I am NOT having my picture taken! |
Many of the photos turned out beautifully, so we're happy with them, and very grateful to our fabulous photographer friend, who we'd recommend any day. However, as with any photo shoot, some didn't work out quite as well - which was mostly due to Anna's frustration with being a subject. That, in turn, caused us to have funny expressions on our faces, to look in different directions, or to make efforts to distract or entertain her that just didn't make for optimal photos. Of course, it didn't help that we were in a park where there is a playground and also a fountain/wading pool area for kids. So Anna had better things to do than have her picture taken.
But, we're okay with the outcome because these are funny snapshots of a special time in our lives....and they will be perfect for her wedding or whatever other big future occasion there is where we need to tease her. Check out some of the bloopers below! We'll post more of the good ones another day.

Smart move to have her look up and not at the camera, mom! |
I'm just not into this.... |
You can't make me smile! You can't! I'm grumpy...sort of.... |
Well, you said "Show us your pretty teeth!" Look! |
This would've been awesome if we were all looking at the camera.... |
Are we done yet? |
Enough, I say, enough!! |
Happy Friday!
What a little stinker! lol, I often say "It's a good thing they are cute"
ReplyDeleteLOL. I know! We have so many that are almost perfect but one/some of us weren't looking at the camera, or she was grumpy...sigh. Oh well, we tried! And we did get some really good ones so I guess that's about as much as you can expect from a 3 year old! :)
