As most of you probably know, it can be challenging entertaining your toddler for a few straight hours on your own. So, as one might expect, the challenge doubles when you are entertaining two toddlers for a few straight hours on your own.
This was my task last Saturday. I watched Anna and Izzy B while their moms went out Christmas shopping. All was well at first, as the girls played with Play Doh and then watched Dora the Explorer.
But after awhile, as is typical, the natives began to get restless. They started to argue about who would play the mom in their game and who would be the baby (of course, they both wanted to be the mom). I told them they needed to find something to play together that would not cause fighting.
And then someone, I think Izzy, came up with the idea of playing "Frog and Princess." Anna started out as the Princess, but then decided to be the Frog, and thankfully that didn't start a fight. For being just one year older, Izzy is pretty patient with Anna. So, they switched roles and Izzy became the Princess to Anna's Frog.
Princess Izzy
They looked awesome.

I'm not entirely sure what this game consisted of, other than running around and yelling and laughing, but hey, whatever keeps them amused! Here are a few more shots of the fun:
This is WAY cooler than TV....
I'm a nice frog, I swear!
Hop hop hop
Airborne!
Finally, I'll leave you with a video clip of the action. Enjoy, and happy Friday!
