Circa 1983...and still kicking! |
Anna, however, is a tech whiz. The other night she decided to take some pictures of the bed and of me and whatever else she saw, using my iPhone. Some of them actually looked like they captured what was intended!
So then I turned away for a couple of minutes and when I turned back around I told Anna it was time to get ready for bed. She then said, "Not now, Mom, I'm playing the fruit game!"
This took me by surprise because not only would she have to exit out of the camera function, but she'd also have to move over to "games" on another screen, select it, and then select Fruit Ninja, select a mode, and start playing. Disbelieving, I looked over her shoulder, and sure enough she was playing the "fruit game." We both thought it was funny.

I don't know why I'm surprised, though - she operates the iPad for our nightly video time like a pro. She knows exactly how to get to videos, then YouTube, then the list of recently watched Mickey Mouse and Pink Panther favorites. I always supervise, of course, to make sure we're actually watching what we think we are, but I like her independence and am impressed with how quickly she figures things out by herself.
What are some of the gadgets your kids love?
