Since kiddie art projects have been on my mind this week, I thought
I'd share some of our Play-Doh creations with you. Before we had
plastic cookie cutters to help improve our efforts, we had only our
imaginations and our hands.... and a demanding toddler who wanted all of
her favorite cartoon friends and TV characters quickly and accurately replicated in Play-Doh. (Check out the
post, "One-Eyed Monsters & Such" for more about creative fun with your kids.)
So I attempted to rise to the challenge. Here are some of my efforts to impress a sometimes hard to impress three year old!
(Okay, so this one was more a product of my own daydreams) |
The Friendly Snake | | |
Disembodied Muppet Heads (clearly I need some practice!) |
Beaker & Bunsen Honeydew (my favorites) |
Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc. (not half bad!) |
Ollie Octopus |

So here's my challenge to you: next time you're enjoying some Play-Doh time with your little ones, record the evidence and send your pics here to be posted! I'm sure there are better Play-Doh artists than me out there and I'd love to see your creations....and, of course, having the affirmation that I'm not the only one who spends some of my free time this way couldn't hurt. ;)
Happy Friday!
